Blowout in Chelsea, Manhattan

Book Your Appointment About Blowout

Dubé New York does blowouts at 120 W 25th St in Chelsea, on West 25th Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues. You get a wash, a professional blowdry and styling, smooth and sleek or full of bounce, for a morning meeting, an evening event or a trip. There's a separate option for long or thick hair, and online booking stays open around the clock.

Can I get a blowout before work or an evening event?

That's what most of our blowout clients come in for. A presentation, a dinner, a gala, a friend's rehearsal. One client staying at the hotel next door found us the night before her event and was fit in early the next morning. Her review is below.

Tell your stylist what the blowout is for and what you're wearing. A sleek finish for a black tie night is built differently from soft movement for a daytime party. If your event runs late, say so, and the style will be set to last.

Bring a photo of your outfit if the neckline matters. A high collar often calls for hair swept back or up. A strapless dress might want smooth length over the shoulders. Those small details are easier to plan in the chair than to fix in a taxi on the way.

For weddings and big occasions, Liza brings event and bridal hairstyling experience and has been featured in multiple publications for her bridal work. See Liza's page for more.

Will my blowout hold up on a humid New York day?

It will hold far better than a rushed dry at home, but humidity always has a vote. A few habits keep your blowout going:

  • Carry a clip or scrunchie: twist your hair up loosely if you're caught in the rain.
  • Skip the steamy shower: wear a cap or wash your hair another day.
  • Sleep on silk: or pile your hair loosely on top of your head.
  • Dry shampoo on day two: at the roots, to bring back lift.

If frizz wins most summer days, ask about PuraLuxe smoothing, which makes future blowouts easier.

Is the salon easy to reach between meetings?

If you work around the Flatiron District, you're close. The F and M stop at 23 St at Sixth Avenue. The 1 stops at 23 St and 28 St on Seventh. The C and E stop at 23 St on Eighth Avenue, and the R and W stop at 23 St at Broadway. The PATH 23rd St station at Sixth Avenue brings you in from Hoboken or Jersey City. Every one is a few minutes' walk from the salon, so a blowout can slot in before an evening plan without a cab across town.

Which blowout option should I pick?

Book the standard Blowdry for most hair. If your hair is long, dense or takes forever to dry at home, choose Blowdry Long/Thick Hair so your stylist has room to finish every section. Both are explained on our blowout page, and current pricing by stylist is on the Service Menu. When you've got your date, book your blowout online.

New York questions

I'm visiting New York for a few days. Can I book a blowout in Chelsea?

Yes. You don't need to be a regular to book a blowout, and online booking is open at any hour, so you can check openings from your hotel. If you're in town for an event, pick a slot the same day and tell your stylist the timing so the finish lasts.

Can I book a blowout for a group before a wedding or party?

Four of our stylists book blowouts: Angela, Hailey, Liza and Yulia. For a group, book each person with a stylist for the times you need, as early as you can. Liza has event and bridal hairstyling experience if the occasion is a wedding.

Should I wash my hair before a blowout appointment?

No need. A blowout at Dubé New York starts with a wash, so come as you are. If you use a particular product at home that works for your hair, bring it or mention it. Tell your stylist if you're heading straight to an event afterward.

Current pricing is on the Service Menu. Updated September 2026.
